Electrolytic cells are the important equipment for metal refinning and electrowinning in the industry of metallurgy.
Electrolytic cells produced by ZJH minerals are adopted for extracting metal from coarse metal, alloy or other smelting intermediates, adopting soluble-anode, we call it electrorefining. It could be used for Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead, Zinc, Tin and Nickel, etc. By the process of electrorefining, we will get 99.999% pure metal. Sometimes we extract the metal from the electrolyte. The metal ions in the electrolyte to be extracted at the cathode to produce pure metal. We call this process as electrowinning.
Rectangular electrolytic cell is always adopted in industrial production. It is featured with simple structure, easy operation and maintenance. It is made of PP or PPH, for anti-corrosion. The width of the cell is 0.2 ~ 1.2 m, the depth is 1.0 ~ 1.5 m. The length is related with the quantity of anodes and cathodes, usually 3 ~ 5 m. Generally, the anodes and cathodes are suspended alternately in the electrolytic cell. When refinning the copper, the distance between the same electrodes is about 80 ~ 90 mm. The quantity of anodes in the cell is 20 ~ 50 PCS. The total number of cathodes is 1 more than the number of anodes plates.
