The spodumene concentrate produced by flotation is calcined at 1025 ℃ for 15 min in the calcination kiln. It will convert α spodumene to acid-soluble β spodumene. After cooling, sulfuric acid leaching reaction is carried out, and then leaching with water at room temperature is done. After filtration, sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate were added to the filtrate, and calcium carbonate and manganese carbonate were precipitated. After filtration and washing, lithium rich solution was obtained.

Then the residual calcium and magnesium ions are removed from the li-rich solution by cation exchange resin column, and the pure li-rich solution is obtained. Sodium carbonate is added to precipitate lithium carbonate, and high-quality lithium oxide can be produced by calcination. The cation exchange resin column was rinsed with hydrochloric acid and regenerated with sodium hydroxide.
