Continuous Pilot Thickening and Filtration is carried out by  small scale of thickener tank and filter press for slurry thickening and filtration. The flow chart as the follow picture showing.

1. Euipment configuration and features

1.1  Thickener

The tank of thickener is in 700mm diameter and height is 630mm. The volume is 200L. It is equipped with slurry collecting drum, overflow weir, rotation and lifting rake. And the rake is driven by a variable frequency motor. The motor is controlled with a control box. On the panel of the control box shows the electric current of the motor. If the current is increased, it means the torque of the rotation rake is increased, at this time, the operator could lift the rake by the hand wheel on the top.

1.2 Peristaltic pump

the flow rate of this pump is 0~12L/min. The flow rate could indicate on the panel of this pump. It is easy adjust the flow rate by the button on the control panel

1.3 Filter Press

The filter press system includes the slurry mixing tank, diaphragm pump, filter plates (the filter chamber volume is 3.2L),  the air compressor for driving the diaphragm pump.  The whole filter press system is mounted on a small trolley for easy moving.

2. Continuous Pilot Thickening and Filtration system features

2.1  the whole system could be made of stainless steel for the special slurry material

2.2  for the Peristaltic pump, the hose could be adopted high grade material for avoiding to pollute the slurry

2.3  The filter press with the function of diaphragm squeeze for making the filter cake more dry. Also it is with the function of washing the filter cake

2.4 The slurry mixing tank on the filter press is worked as a buffer tank, the underflow of the thickener tank could be continuously discharged to the buffer tank by avoiding the blocking underflow pipe of the thickener. By this design, the whole system will be smooth for continuous filtration working.

3. Application

The Continuous Pilot Thickening and Filtration could be adopted by the industry of mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical engineering, etc for doing the test of slurry thickening and filtration. Also it could be for small scale of industrial production for slurry dewatering.
