In  the modern new material laboratory for research semiconductor or metallic material, we always face to crush the super hard material with compressive strength more than 250 MPA such as the SiC, or alloy (up to extremely 3900MPA).

It is a problem to crush these material by the tranditional type jaw crusher.

Why the traditional lab jaw crusher can not be adopted?

Because the frame of the tranditional type jaw crusher is welded or casting. Usually this kind of frame structure can not bear the crushing strength more than 250MPA, or it will make the jaw crusher frame brokean. What is more, the support device of the moving jaw plates is a simple toggle plate, which can not bear so much crushing strength. Also it is equipped with the manganese steel jaw plates, which can not crush so hard material. Also the jaw plates is short. This kind of structure can not generate big crushing strength.

So what kind of jaw crusher we could adopt for this work?

As the production skill developed, the frame of the laboratory jaw crusher is modular structure, which are connected by the high strength bolts. Also the moving jaw plate is supported by the alloy structure. And the jaw plates and side liners are tungsten carbide ( up to 6833 Mpa). And the jaw plates is long design, which will generate big crushing power by the same power motor.

The laboratory jaw crusher with the above features is capable of crushing super hard materials.
