Multi-functional Experimental Leaching-Solvent Extraction-Electrowinning System

Application

This multi-functional experimental leaching-extraction-electrowinning system is developed for wet metallurgy tests of non-ferrous and precious metals. It supports lab-scale conditional tests and process optimization for metal recovery, covering the hydrometallurgical extraction and recovery of copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt, gold and silver. It is compatible with raw materials including oxidized copper ore, sulfide copper ore, zinc ore, lateritic nickel ore, cobalt-containing solid waste and precious metal tailings.

Supply Scope

The complete system consists of extraction tank, stripping tank, buffer tank, safety tank, electrolytic cell, cathode plates, anode plates, rectifier, peristaltic pumps, brushless silent motors, PDU power socket, leaching column and liquid storage tank, supplied as an integrated complete unit.

Working Principle

Metal-bearing materials react with leaching agents such as acid or ammonia inside the leaching column to dissolve target metals into aqueous leachate. The leachate is delivered via peristaltic pumps to the extraction tank and blended with organic extractant; target metal ions are selectively transferred into the organic phase to separate from impurities. Loaded organic phase flows by gravity into the stripping tank, where stripping agent strips metal ions back into aqueous phase to form high-concentration pregnant electrolyte. The pregnant electrolyte is fed into the electrolytic cell. Under the electric field supplied by the rectifier, metal cations are electrochemically reduced into high-purity solid metals on cathode plates. Spent electrolyte from electrowinning returns to the stripping tank or buffer tank for cyclic reuse.

Advantages

1.Integrated full-process design for high testing efficiency Integrated with four core units of leaching, solvent extraction, stripping and electrowinning, the system completes full-process experiments without extra auxiliary equipment and shortens preparation time significantly.

2.Wide adaptability for various metals Applicable to wet metallurgy tests of copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt, gold and silver, satisfying diversified R&D requirements with excellent cost performance.

3.Customized core components ensure high test precision Self-suction stirring fitted for extraction and stripping tanks, anti-corrosion anode/cathode plates and high-precision rectifier stabilize phase mixing and electrodeposition, minimizing experimental errors.

4.Comprehensive safety protection Filter-equipped buffer tank plus independent safety tank filter impurities and prevent liquid overflow. Acid-alkali resistant construction and enclosed frame reduce reagent volatilization to improve operational safety.

5.Compact layout ideal for laboratory use Small footprint fits limited lab space; modular configuration allows individual or combined operation for easy maintenance and cleaning.

6.Low noise & consumption, eco-friendly operation Silent brushless motors reduce running noise. Low reagent dosage cuts test cost and waste discharge for environmental compliance.
